Lavasoft Ad-Aware

Another great malware scanner.
This is the latest version 7.1.0.10.
Like Malwarebyte's Anti-Malware it's a neat little program that keeps you safe from all the hassle people want to cause you with their spyware and malware. Ad-Aware runs very quickly and works efficiently. Recommended !

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware

This is actually the best anti malware scanner I have come across so far.
It's small, efficient and free to use.
So far all those fake alarms, pc-reboots, key-loggers ...anything has been found and killed before it was even able to do any harm.
As said, above, use of the basic module is free - only for additional plug-ins you would have to register. But even without those add-ons you're already on the safe side with this little proggy. Highly recommended !

PortableApps.com

PortableApps.com is really a useful site. They offer a complete portable suite including basic OpenOffice applications, a PDF reader, a Firefox browser and lots of other things for you to carry along on a USB stick.
And the best of all: it is all open source and it is all free.
In addition to their suite they offer lots of other portable applications, a forum and developers' corner.

Great idea, great site, certainly worth a visit.

As said above, this is a Blog with links that you might find useful - or not ...
None of the apps, ebooks, whatever is hosted by myself - these are all links that you could find yourself somewhere out there.

Please be aware that there's not only nice people out there!
